Summer plans don’t need to be elaborate.
Dinner out, an afternoon with the kids, a round of golf, or one night away can be enough to break up a busy week. Those smaller plans still add up, though.
Through our Passport savings program, employees can find discounts on Spokane-area restaurants, activities, services, and travel. Right now, there are several offers worth checking before making summer plans.
Dine: Make dinner out a little easier on the budget
One of the strongest dining deals is at Crave Eats.Drinks, where purchasing one entrée gets you another entrée complimentary. That can turn an ordinary dinner out into a much better value.
For a meal with friends or family, several Spokane restaurants offer 20% off with maximum savings of up to $100. Those include Purgatory Craft Beer and Whiskey Bar, Method – Downtown, and Heritage Bar & Kitchen. Method and Heritage also include savings on to-go orders, which works well for a picnic, backyard dinner, or evening when you’d rather eat at home.
The Mango Tree offers 20% off the total guest check, with maximum savings of $50. It’s another good choice when everyone wants something more interesting than the usual weeknight meal.
Summer also leaves plenty of room for smaller treats. Revival Tea Company has a buy-one, get-one complimentary offer on tea flights. It’s an easy idea for an afternoon with a friend or a low-key summer date.
For coffee and dessert, Sweet Frostings Blissful Bakeshop offers 20% off to-go orders. Twenty-Seventh Heaven Scratch Bake Shop offers a complimentary scone, coffee cake slice, or cupcake with the purchase of another of equal or greater value.
Then there are the nights when pizza is the only realistic plan. Pizza Pipeline offers 25% off an order, with some exclusions. That’s one of the simplest deals to use for a family meal, group gathering, or last-minute dinner.
For a relaxed summer evening, One Tree Cider House offers 20% off the total guest check, with maximum savings of $50. The same 20% savings also applies to to-go orders.
Shop: Find something fun to do around Spokane
Some of the best summer offers in Passport aren’t traditional shopping discounts. They’re discounts on activities, outings, recreation, and local services.
At Wild Walls, a day pass is $14 instead of $17, gear rental is $3.50 instead of $5, and the vertical intro class is $25 instead of $35. It’s a good option when you want an active afternoon without spending the whole day outside.
Families can save $2 per person on daily admission to Mobius Discovery Center. A little farther north in Mead, Cat Tales Wildlife Center offers buy-one, get-one-free admission of equal or lesser value.
Golfers have a couple of useful options. Clarke Stephens Golf offers 15% off custom golf clubs, lessons, and repairs. Fairways Golf Course in Cheney offers 20% off greens fees for up to two people per tee time.
Summer is also a good time to get a bike back on the road. Simple Machine Bicycle Service offers 15% off service. That could help with a tune-up before regular rides, a family outing, or a longer weekend route.
The same idea applies to the car. Spokane Mobile Detail offers 15% off services, which may be useful before a road trip or after a dusty stretch of summer travel.
When the day’s plans move indoors, Roller Valley Entertainment Center offers buy-one, get-one-free admission along with buy-one, get-one-free skate rentals.
At Players & Spectators, buying one game of bowling, round of golf, or bumper car ride gets you another one free. That gives families and groups a few different ways to use the same offer.
Summer doesn’t have to be busy every weekend. Sometimes a quiet reset is the better plan. Sweetgrass Massage Therapy and Wellness Studio offers 20% off all services by appointment.
Travel: Try a Spokane staycation or a short road trip
A summer getaway doesn’t always require a flight or a week away from work.
A local hotel stay can provide a change of pace without a long drive. Among the current Spokane offers, The Centennial has the largest percentage discount at 20% off its best rate.
The Davenport Grand Hotel and The Davenport Tower each offer 15% off their best rates.
The Historic Davenport Hotel offers 12% off Friday and Saturday stays and 15% off Sunday through Thursday. A weekday stay may be especially appealing for employees with flexible summer schedules or a few vacation days to use.
For a cabin trip, Sleep’s Cabins in Sagle, Idaho, offers 15% off the best available rate. The offer also includes one free night when two or more nights are booked, subject to availability. That makes a longer weekend more realistic without turning it into a major trip.
Walla Walla is another option for a few days away. The FINCH offers 18% off its best flexible rate.
Marcus Whitman Hotel & Conference Center offers up to 25% off Sunday through Thursday stays and up to 18% off Friday and Saturday stays. The offer also includes a welcome bottle of local wine.
For a Tri-Cities trip, The Lodge at Columbia Point in Richland offers up to 20% off, along with a welcome bottle of wine.
These nearby options can work for an anniversary, a quiet weekend, a visit with friends, or simply a chance to get out of the house for a night or two.
Check Passport before finalizing your plans
Passport offers may change. Some have maximum savings, reservation requirements, availability limits, location restrictions, or other terms.
Before placing an order, buying tickets, or booking a room, open Passport and review the full offer. Make sure you’re using the correct location and follow the redemption instructions shown for that business.
Summer doesn’t have to revolve around one big vacation.
A dinner out, an afternoon climb, a family activity, or a night away can still give you something to look forward to. Passport helps make more of those plans fit the budget.
