Fresh Start Reset Toolkit

Space, time, digital life, relationships

Life rarely changes all at once. It drifts. Desks fill up, weeks get crowded, screens follow us from room to room, and the story we tell ourselves slowly becomes, “This is just how it is.”

The Fresh Start Reset toolkit gives your team a simple pause to notice that drift and choose a better direction. The printable Fresh Start Guide walks through four common areas: physical space, time and energy, digital life, and connections with other people. Employees can pick the one area that fits their current season, then choose one or two small actions that feel realistic, like clearing a single shelf, protecting a quiet hour on the calendar, taking a phone free walk, or trimming late night scrolling.

You can also highlight support like your Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and any identity theft protection benefits, so people know they have backup while they reset.

After big goals or busy seasons, many of us notice a quiet drift. Papers pile up, calendars get crowded, screens stay within reach, and we feel a little less like the person we want to be.

To support you, we are sharing a short worksheet, the Fresh Start Guide [attached/linked]. It walks through five areas where life often needs a reset: physical space, time and energy, digital life, relationships, and the story you tell yourself about who you are. You do not need to tackle everything. Just choose the one area that matters most right now.

You might clear one small space, protect a weekly block of time, set a simple limit around late-night scrolling, take a walk outdoors without your phone, or reconnect with someone you have been missing. Research suggests that even modest changes in device use can support better mood, focus, and sleep.

For example, some programs offer credit and social media monitoring, device security, secure VPN, and help with certain costs and expert support if identity theft occurs.
