The holiday season is here. That means more time to spend with your family and friends. However, it also can mean the spread of flu and its potentially serious outcomes, especially among certain higher risk groups, such as pregnant people and children.

With National Influenza Vaccination Awareness Week under way from Dec. 4-8, 2023, Business Health Trust wants to remind you that getting a flu vaccine is the best way to reduce your risk from flu — and it’s easy to do if you’re enrolled in our medical coverage through Premera Blue Cross or Kaiser Permanente.

For Business Health Trust members enrolled in medical with Kaiser Permanente, the flu vaccine is available at no costat Kaiser Permanente facilities. If you’re a member, your options may include:

  • Getting a flu shot during an existing appointment
  • Scheduling an appointment to get a flu shot
  • Walking up to a flu shot clinic
  • Driving up to get vaccinated without leaving your car (available in certain locations)

For Business Health Trust members enrolled in medical with Premera Blue Cross, your flu shot is free* if you go to an in-network doctor or pharmacy. Employers can make it even easier to support a healthy workplace by setting up an on-site flu shot clinic.
